The Newark International Airport Terminal A Redevelopment Program aims to modernize and replace Terminal A. At $2.7 billion, the program will provide roadway and air side improvements, and a new parking garage. A component to the program is the North Pier Extension and Airport Lounge project which is a three-story, stand alone 49,691 square foot expansion to the new Terminal A. When completed, the North Pier Extension will include an exclusive airport lounge, concourse, concessions, airport logistics, and tenant revenue generating facilities for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ).

NERIS is contracted to file all necessary permits for the design and construction of this project, specifically the Tenant Construction and Alteration Process (TCAP) for the PANYNJ. In addition to the above, NERIS also provides National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)

Environmental Review in accordance to the Federal Aviation Administration process. Currently, the environmental scope includes review, alternatives, revised action, preparation of agency notification letters, GIS map production, and impact analysis.
