PROJECT BRIEF

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is upgrading the Broadway Junction station complex to achieve Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance through a major rehabilitation project that includes installing seven (7) new elevators, new accessible staircases, and a new accessible entrance. The project also involves replacing escalators, repairing platforms, and improving overall circulation with a new passenger transfer bridge and pedestrian bridge. This comprehensive overhaul is part of a larger MTA initiative to improve accessibility across its system.

NERIS is providing Environmental Management services for the MTA ADA Upgrades at Broadway Junction, including the Environmental Management Plan, Emergency Response and Contingency Plan, Waste Management Plan, three Anticipatory Boring Programs and associated sampling and Data Interpretation Reports, and a DEP Phase II Site Investigation Plan and associated sampling as required for City Environmental Quality Review acceptance.
